..And this the LAST post about Zumbo

As all the debris settles, we have to take a step back and just say..

HOLY SHIT!

This was by far the biggest grass-roots blowup in the last 10 years. And the thing that makes it stand out above all others is the following fact:

It ALL happened over the internet.

Me and a couple other guys broke the original blog entry onto the gun forums and it spread like an August grassfire. At final count, Zumbo has lost all of his sponsors, ODL has pulled his cable show and blog and as of now the ONLY friend he has in the world is the 'nuge and he's starting to back away from what i see on his forums.

For years the gun industry (with the exception of a few choice mfg's) ignored the large semi-auto sport shooting community and blithly meandered on spouting about hunting this and "sporting arms" that. No More.

According to e-mails ive read and recieved, there is a major shakeup in progress in many corporate circles over this, and why no attention was paid to a major faction of the shotiong community that spends a disporpotionantly large amount of money for weapons, ammo and accesories.

I know an enginner at winchester/olin on a personal basis (no im NOT divulging his name or position) and have spoke to him in the last couple days. We were discussing the whole Zumbo incident and i asked him what percentage of ammo made by his company was "sporting" ammo and what was ammo for designed for AR's, AKs FALs etc. he told me that about 20% of the ammo made is regular sporting rounds. The other 80% was ammo designed for military type weapons. 80 f'ing percent people. And while the vast majority of this ammo has been going overseas to our troops, we can be sure that some of that 80% makes its way into our market now that the companies have been enlightened to spending (and boycotting) power of the sport shooting market.

This is the last article i will devote to Zumbo the Dumbo. Its been beaten to death in the last week by every forum, blog, and internet news source with the exception of the major networks and drudge. Ive devoted enough time to it and its over and done with. Zumbo is finished in the shooting community forever and we are glad to be rid of him.

This incident has provoked nasty emotions and its time to let it lie. we can be glad it happened as it has enlightened many ot the fact that we WILL get pissed off if you poke us hard enough. Its also shown that Fudds are out there and they can hurt us if we let them. We as sport shooters however can also bring them down like a flaming zepplin.
